Introduction : Chickenpox, also known as varicella, is a highly contagious viral infection caused by the varicella-zoster virus (VZV). It primarily affects children but can occur in individuals of any age who have not previously been infected or vaccinated against the virus. Understanding the causes, recognizing the symptoms, accessing appropriate treatment, and adopting preventive measures are crucial in managing and preventing the spread of chickenpox. Causes : Chickenpox is caused by the varicella-zoster virus (VZV), which spreads from person to person through respiratory droplets or direct contact with fluid from the blisters of an infected individual. The virus can also be transmitted by touching objects or surfaces contaminated with the virus and then touching the face or mouth.
