Introduction : Lyme disease is a tick-borne bacterial infection caused by the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi. It is primarily transmitted to humans through the bite of infected black-legged ticks, commonly known as deer ticks. Causes : Lyme disease is caused by infection with the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi.
